IZAR — leopard aviator, Ember and Flare.
To the eye, Izar is one star. Put a lens in front of it and it splits into two — a gold giant and a blue-white companion, sitting almost on top of each other. Struve called it Pulcherrima. The most beautiful.
It takes the right lens to see it properly. That is the entire business we are in.
The IZAR is the smaller aviator, cut closer to the face, leopard acetate running through the temples. Ember or Flare. No two patterns come out identical.
